While Google Glass seems to have stolen the thunder, ‘heads-up’ displays began life in cars, so it seems only logical that these should converge. And here it is – The LiveMap helmet “projects full-color translucent images right at the center of the visor, but still provides a safe and unobstructed view for the rider.”

Increasingly the relocation of signage – from the landscape to our screens – seems to usher in the future for an entirely new language for sign design.
